The New Portland Planning Board will be holding a public hearing for a Commercial Develpment Review Application submitted by Vining Mining, LLC.  The application is for an approximately 29-acre medium borrow pit to be located off the New Portland Hill Road in New Portland, Maine 04961.  The pit would be located on Tax Map 20 Lot 3 in New Portland, Maine, and to the northeast of New Portland Hill Road and southwest of the Carrabassett River.  The gravel pit would be accessed through an existing woods road located off the New Portland Hill Road.  The public hearing will be held on Wednesday, November 1st, 2023 at 6:30pm at the New Portland Fire Station, 911 River Road, New Portland Maine, 04961.  Hard copies of the application are available at the New Portland Town Office.
