Town of New Portland
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
Notice is hereby given that the Town of New Portland will hold a public hearing on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 9 am at the Fire Station in the Community Room, 911 River Rd. The purpose of this hearing is to discuss 3 proposed ordinances as follows:
- Ordinance for the Recall of Elected Municipal Officials
- Ordinance Establishing a Municipal Advisory Committee
- NEW PORTLAND LOCAL FOOD AND COMMUNITY SELF-GOVERNANCE ORDINANCE OF 2025
There will also be a discussion from a new ATV Club, and their proposal to use some of the town owned roads in New Portland. They would like to have this voted upon at the March 1, 2025 Annual Town Meeting.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing.
Copies of the proposed ordinances are available at the Town Office and will be available at the public hearing as well.
