Greetings Fellow New Portlanders! As most of you know, I will be out for maternity leave. My last day will be May 8th after the polls are finished and i will return July 9th. My Deputy Town Clerk is Annette Folco and I also have Stacie Rundlett and Marilyn Gorman as my Assistant Clerks. They will be able to assist with dog licenses, birth/marriage certificates, absentee ballots, etc. Please bare with all of us for this short change. I hope everyone has a great summer!

The MSAD #74 School Budget Referendum vote is scheduled for Tuesday, May 8th 2012. The polls will be open from 10:00am-7:00pm at the New Portland Community Room. We look forward to seeing you there to vote!
 Come to the library at 2:00pm on Sunday, April 29th, for our “Ladies Tea”. Bring your mothers, grandmothers, daughters, friends, aunts, nieces, and help us celebrate and honor them. We’ll be serving some delicious treats along with our tea. Help us make this a fun event for all! We’ll have a few jewels for children to add to the tea party fun!

Starting in the month of April the town’s assessor’s agent (Terri Lamontagne) and 1 or more assistants will be visiting properties in New Portland doing field work. They will have proper identification and leave notice if they have been at your property while you were not home. If you should have any questions about these proceedings or prefer that Terri make a scheduled appointment to visit your property, please contact the town office and speak with Terri or Stacie.

Hello Everyone!
I just wanted to give everybody a reminder about the dates to license your dog(s). If you come in to license from October 15th-January 31st, you will not have to pay a late fee. If you come in afterFebruary 1st, there will be late fees charged. Please keep in mind that there are laws that have to be followed with dog licensing and I want to keep New Portland compliant with these laws. Also, if you have licensed your dog(s) in the past, but you no longer have the dog for whatvever reason, please call me at the office at 628-4441 ext. 3 to let me know so I can remove your card from the file. I hope that everyone has a wonderful spring season and I look forward to seeing all of your friendly faces!
