Town Office CLOSED on Monday, January 18th

The Town Office is going to be CLOSED on Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. We will resume our regular business hours on Tuesday the 19th.

Remember to license your dog(s) by Thursday, January 28th (We are not open on the 29th and the 31st falls on a Sunday)

Hello New Portlanders! Just a reminder that if you have not licensed your dog(s) you need to do so by Thursday, January 28th at 7:00pm ( typically January 31st but the 31st falls on a Sunday) to avoid the $25.00 per dog late fee. This late fee is a state law and I am not allowed to waive this fee. The $25.00 late fee is in addition to the $6.00 you would pay if your dog(s)is spayed or neutered or $11.00 if not spayed or neutered. Please be sure we have a record of the current rabies vaccinations or bring proof of rabies vaccination with you when you come in to the office. You can license your dog(s) during regular business hours, which are
Monday – Wednesday 11:00am – 5:00pm Thursday 2:00pm – 7:00pm and the 1st Saturday of every month (unless it is a holiday weekend.) Currently there are 50 people who have not licensed there dogs as of today. I do not like having to charge the $25.00 late fee anymore that you like having to pay it so please make sure you license your dog(s). I hope you all have a great rest of your day and drive safe tomorrow if we get the predicted snow storm

Giving Tree 2015

Kristen and I would like to thank all of those who participated in the Giving Tree this year.  We had another successful year and were able to provide gifts to 8 different households and there were 11 children who received gifts from our very generous townspeople.  A special thank you to our Fire Chief, Kip Poulin and Assistant Fire Chiefs, Wayne and Brian Rundlett for helping me deliver all of the gifts.  Next year I hope to have a SANTA on the fire truck when doing deliveries.

Thank you again to everyone, how very heartwarming it was to see so many people from our community want to do good for others.
