SELECTMEN’S WORKSESSION 02/17/2014 RESCHEDULED TO 02/15/2014 @ the Town Office at 9 a.m.

Until further notice the 2nd selectmen’s meeting of the month is now a mapping work session only for the assessor’s, and assessor’s agent.  These sessions will now be at the Town Office at 6:30p.m.  All are welcome to attend, however there will be no items by the public offered.

BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JANUARY 25TH @ 9 A.M.

There will be a budget committee meeting to review proposed 2014 budget on Saturday, January 25th at

9 a.m. in the community room at the fire station.

Town Office Closed on 12-31-2013

The Town Office will be closed on 12-31-2013 for end of year bookkeeping. Hope you all have a Happy and safe New Year.

Town Office is closing 12/23/2013 at 3:30pm

The Town Office will be closing at 3:30pm today due to inclement weather. We will be open on 12/24 Christmas Eve from 11:00am – 2:00pm. Hope you all have a safe and Merry Christmas.

Community Dinner

On Sunday, December 1st from 4pm – 5pm there will be horse drawn wagon rides and Christmas caroling.

5pm – 6pm is the Community Dinner. Prime rib, potatoes & gravy, a vegetable, and a roll will be served. For dessert there will be brownie sundaes being served.

The Giving Tree is up

The Giving Tree is now up at the Town Office. We will be taking donations up to December 19th, so that there is time to get them wrapped and brought to the families. We greatly appreciate all donations that are made and a big thank you to those who have already donated. We are hoping to have another successful year.

Assessor’s Work Session 11/23/2013

There will be an Assessor’s Work Session on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 9:00am and is being held at the town office.

The public is welcome to attend, however, there will be no public input during this work session.

Appeals Board Hearing-October 29th @ 6:30 p.m.

The Board of Assessment Review will be holding an appeals board hearing on October 29th at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Fire Station.  At 6:00 p.m. The Board of Assessment Review will be conducting a public meeting to elect it’s officers at this same location.  All are welcome to attend both the meeting and the hearing.

The Kingfield/New Portland Transfer Transfer Station seeks a motivated individual

The Kingfield/New Portland Transfer Station seeks a motivated individual to help with the operation of the solid waste and recycling facility. Work will be performed under the supervision of the Transfer Station Manager. Must be willing to assist citizens and have the ability to operate equipment safely. Must maintain effective working relationship with the Public and Town employees. This position is 12 hours a week year round with mandatory 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday.
