Help is needed to get the Playground cleaned up. As some folks have seen while your kids are playing, that the grass is coming up through the sand. Weeding has been done, but it is a lot of work for one person. If a few people could do some weeding while kids are playing or just when you have time. A cloth mat (not sure of the official name) is below the sand that should prevent the grass from growing. I believe when the mowing gets done, some gets into the area.
So, when weeding if you use a rake or something make sure not to disturb the mat. I will be working on it as I can, but would love for the citizens to be involved.
You will notice a new sign about smoking at the playground; we ask that you please do not smoke there. Cleaning cigarettes out of the sand is not fun. Plus it is not healthy for children who play there.
